Sharing Excellence - The Greenshaw Learning Trust Model for School Improvement at Yate Academy
Yate Academy in South Gloucestershire improved their Progress 8 headline from -0.42 in 2017, to +0.67 in 2018. Not only were last summer's GCSE results the best the school had ever achieved, the grades placed Yate Academy within the top 4% of schools nationally, as well as becoming the best performing secondary school in South Gloucestershire. Furthermore, the school is projecting added improvements for 2019.
In a school-led, self-improving system, sharing excellence and what works well, is imperative. This unique case study experience comprised of the conference day on 26th April, combined with a possible visit to Yate Academy (for one member of staff from each school/organisation attending the conference - restricted numbers), is a one-off opportunity to learn more about the Greenshaw Learning Trust approach to school improvement, to understand the significance of the research that underpins it, and through the design of the event, allows delegates to discuss issues and ideas with Greenshaw Learning Trust and Yate Academy leaders.
Delegates will leave with new knowledge and fresh inspiration to challenge their own school improvement strategies aimed at accelerating studuent rates of progress - the key to improving Progress 8 outcomes.
This event is open to all, however it is especially suitable for School Governors, Headteachers, MAT Leaders, Senior Leaders, Teaching & Learning Leads and Subject Leads.
- If you are a NLG, NLE, or a Teaching School Director you are entitled to a free delegate place at the conference.
- If your school is an eligible secondary school for the 2018/2019 DfE School Improvement Offer, you are entitled to 3 free places per school at the conference (places to be registered individually, not as a group).
