About the Regional Education Partnership Boards

Regional Education Partnership BoardsThe Regional Education Partnership Boards (REP Boards) will replace the Sub Regional Improvement Board (SRIB) structure and will build on the collaborative work started in the last academic year. The membership of the Regional Education Partnership Boards will mirror that of the SRIBs, but will additionally include MAT leaders and other strategic partners by invitation. There will be four meetings per year and meetings will be chaired by a TSC representative.

Structure

The REP Boards are: 

Region A: Somerset, Bristol, Bath, NE Somerset and South Gloucestershire
Region B: Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire
Region C: Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole
Region D: Devon, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, Plymouth and Torbay

Purpose

The purpose of these meetings will be to:

  •  Report on implementation of the Team South West Regional Delivery Plan.

  •  Discuss and plan regional approaches to themed school improvement action.

  •  Share best practice in relation to key regional school improvement issues.

  • Receive briefings and updates from key improvement network leaders eg RSC, Ofsted, Maths Hubs, English Hubs, Research Schools, SSIF leads and communicate them through member networks.

  • Work collaboratively and collectively to ensure improvement resources are aligned effectively and targeted at schools most in need.

  •  Ensure that REP Board members are well informed and can brief their own networks and system leader colleagues, signposting where support can be accessed.
